Charles T. Myers Golf Course is one of Charlotte's hidden gems. It is located a little off the beaten path but definitely worth visiting. Located on the former Harrisburg Road Landfill, which was operated by Mecklenburg County until 1994, the facility bears the name of County Commissioner Charles T. Myers, who during his tenure (1969-70), led the initiative to make the final use of this land a public golf course.

His commitment and leadership is responsible for the existence of this beautiful public property enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. In 1997 the facility expanded from it's original 9-holes to 18-holes. The front 9-holes were built in 1986. Charles T. Myers GC does about 40,000 rounds annually most of which comes from golfers that live in the neighborhood surrounding the course..
