The 18-hole "Apple Creek" course at the Apple Creek Executive Golf Course facility in Dallas, North Carolina features 2,841 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 57. Designed by Joe Ratchford, the Apple Creek golf course opened in 2005.
The 18-hole "Briar Creek" course at the Briar Creek Golf Course facility in High Shoals, North Carolina features 6,533 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Briar Creek golf course opened in 1974.
Charles T. Myers Golf Course is one of Charlotte's hidden gems. It is located a little off the beaten path but definitely worth visiting. Located on the former Harrisburg Road Landfill, which was operated by Mecklenburg County until 1994, the facility bears the name of County Commissioner Charles T. Myers, who during his tenure (1969-70), led the initiative to make the final use of this land a public golf course.
The 18-hole "Cheraw" course at the Cheraw Country Club facility in Cheraw, South Carolina features 6,347 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.3 and it has a slope rating of 111. Designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA, the Cheraw golf course opened in 1924.
This course, which was completed in 1998, provides a wide array of imaginative holes. Course officials claim their par 3's to be "the best in the area." The greens are generally long and narrow, with a variety of multi-tiering.
Eagle Chase Golf Club, built in 1994, is certainly one of the most unique courses in our area. The elevation changes here on several holes will make you feel like you were playing a mountain course.
This rural course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. The fairways are tree lined, and water hazards come into play on four holes.
The 18-hole "Hampton Heights" course at the Hampton Heights Golf Club facility in Hickory, North Carolina features 6,448 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.
The 18-hole "Henry River" course at the Henry River Golf Course facility in Hickory, North Carolina features 5,443 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70.

Renaissance Park was founded in 1984, with its first facility being the John Adams Tennis Center and then in 1985 came the addition of the softball and soccer complex. This just wasn't enough for the 400-acre park project. The city landlords decided to add a golf course. The key to their final decision on a golf course was that there wasn't anything else that could be built on a landfill.
Founded in the early 1930's Revolution Park Golf Course (originally named Bonnie Brae Golf Course) was designed by the Corps of Engineers as an 18 hole layout. The golf course was later condensed to 9 holes and modified once again in the late 1970's as interstate I-77 was developed.

Rocky River Golf Club is owned by the City of Concord.

This 18-hole semi-private course, built in 1960, is primarily flat with an occasional hill that can cause uneven lies. The greens are large, and the fairways are narrow.
The 18-hole "Twin Oaks" course at the Twin Oaks Golf Course facility in Jamestown, North Carolina features 1,614 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 54.
